On Friday, March 6, the first SCQHA show of the season commenced. It was so nice to see all the returning faces and even some new ones! This was such a great start to the show season! It was also my first show competing in the amateur division! With wins in Hunter Under Saddle, Equitation and Horsemanship! Can't wait to see everyone at the next show!

On February 15 and 16 I travelled to Martin Community College with my St. Andrews Western teammates to compete at our final regular season show on Saturday and at Regionals on Sunday. On Saturday, our team took first place with a 17 point lead sealing our place at semi finals and winning the region by over 50 points! Sunday consisted of Regional competition where individual qualifiers competed for their spot at semi finals. All of our riders advanced! In the Regional Open High Point Rider Competition, I ended up 3rd place overall in the Region! It has been an amazing season so far and I can't wait to see what happens at semis! In October of 2019 I had the amazing opportunity to compete in the 2019 All American Quarter Horse Congress Queen Contest. I got to compete alongside seventeen amazing contestants for the crown! After a long 4 days of competition, the results came it! I ended up placing 6th overall in the contest! I tied for reserve champion in the Written Test competition and placed 3rd overall in the horsemanship! I'm so blessed to be able to have had this opportunity and cannot wait until next year! |
