Last week I received the privilege of being able to go show at the Palomino World Championship Show! The show was held in Tunica, Mississippi. This was my first time competing at a World Show, so of course I was slightly nervous. The first class that Dillon and I went in was the Novice Amateur Hunter Under Saddle. We had a decent ride, but I knew that we had better in us. Under the first judge we received 2nd place and under the next three we received 1st. I was in shock and tears began to fill my eyes when we walked up to receive our trophy and neck ribbon.  All of our long hours practicing and hard work had paid off.
The next class we went in was the Open Hunter In Hand. I was the youngest person competing in this class and Dillon and I came out with a forth place. Next, we went in the Amateur Hunter In Hand where we came out with a Reserve World Title! I was extremely happy with our performance in this class.  After the Hunter In Hand classes, we began preparing for the Amateur Hunter Under Saddle. We didn't enter the arena until 10pm (11pm EST.) We gave that class our all and received a clean sweep under all four judges! 2 time World Champions! The last class we went in was the Novice Amateur Showmanship. This was a deep class and we received 4th in it as well.
The atmosphere of this show was outstanding. I was able to meet many wonderful new people and gain many new friends because of it. I also received a new sponsor while in Tunica! I would like to welcome Brinks Hattery to the family! I cannot thank Rebekah and Kevin enough, and I can't wait to wear my new hat at Congress in the Queen's Horsemanship!  A Kimes Ranch representative was also at this show and took a live video of our Novice HUS class and then did a interview with me afterwards. The interview can be viewed by clicking the button below. Thank you so much Courtney!
I leave Thursday August 10th to head to Tulsa, OK for the NSBA World Show!  I have heard nothing but goods things about this show and I am so ready to be there. Be sure to watch Dillon and myself from the live feed! Once again, thank you everyone for your support; I could not do any of this without you all!
