A few weeks ago I had the privilege of traveling to Logan, Utah with my St. Andrews Western teammates to compete at one of the three IHSA Western Semi-Finals. Standing in the arena was surreal. All the hard work and dedication throughout the year brought us to Utah as a team! Teamwork definitely makes a dream work! With the help of our coaches and each other we ended up 6th overall. In addition to riding with the team, I was able to compete in the individual competition which is anything but individual. With my team behind me and teammate competing in the arena beside me (Go Annie!!) I was ready to take on anything. Finishing 3rd overall guaranteed me a spot in the Individual Open Horsemanship at the 2019A Nationals in May, and I couldn't have done it without all the love and support from my teammates! Thank you to Sam, Shelby, Maggie, Hannah, Annie, Gina, Cailey, and Coach Carla (the Utah Dream Team!) and all my amazing teammates back home! It takes a village! As Carla always says, "We will not weaken!" Nationals here we come! Go Knights!
